Tahtiana Caldwell
RDN, LD

Tahtiana is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She earned her degree and completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at The University of Texas at Austin. As a passionate foodie, Tahtiana strives to create a positive long-lasting effect in the community. She believes the way to achieve that is by helping her clients one by one reach their individual health and nutrition goals in a feasible way.

Outside of work, she is active at her church serving in a leadership capacity. She enjoys getting out into the community to serve and share her passions, cultivate meaningful relationships, trying new food venues, and having new experiences in general.

Montserrat Tolentino
MS, RDN, LD

Montserrat is a Registered Dietitian with a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences and a master’s in Dietetic Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has experience in clinical nutrition, food service, and community health, having worked with patients in hospital settings, bariatric care, and through virtual platforms.

Her passion lies in making nutrition practical and approachable—helping individuals improve their health through evidence-based guidance that fits their lifestyle. She enjoys combining her knowledge of food science with a compassionate, individualized approach to care.

When she’s not working with clients, Montserrat enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and traveling!

Kasie Rawson, MS, RDN, LD

Kasie earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, where she studied nutrition, dietetics, and psychology. She further honed her expertise through a yearlong, comprehensive internship with Russell Sage College and Berkshire Medical Center, gaining valuable experience working with both adolescents and adults facing a range of chronic conditions, including IBS/IBD, heart disease, eating disorders, and endocrine disorders. Kasie began her professional career in Austin, Texas, where she provided inpatient nutrition care for patients battling cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. Her work has given her a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding various medical conditions, and she empathizes with the challenges of managing life with these conditions. She is passionate about forming strong partnerships with her clients, guiding them toward their health goals through education, exploration, and compassionate support. Kasie believes in a person-centered approach to care and is dedicated to helping her clients navigate the often-confusing world of nutrition and wellness. Her areas of expertise include gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders, oncology, sports nutrition, eating disorders, intuitive eating, mindful eating, metabolic adaptation, and general health and wellness counseling. Outside of her professional life, Kasie loves to unwind with a good book, experiment with new recipes, explore local restaurants, take yoga classes, paddle board, weightlift, and hike with her dogs.

Susan Ivester RDN, LD

Susan has loved helping people achieve their nutrition goals in many different health care settings. She has worked in private practice twice in her career, in the 1990’s and again since 2014 with Sparkman Nutrition, LLC. She has specialized in eating disorder therapy both in private practice and at Meridell Achievement Center which is a residential treatment center for ages 10-18. As a Clinical Dietitian working part-time at Round Rock Medical Center, she is well versed in developing realistic strategies to manage health challenges like Renal, Cardiovascular, and Gastrointestinal disease as well as Diabetes and Cancer. To stay young in mind, body, and spirit, she spends time outdoors cycling, swimming, hiking, or walking her Pomeranian, Marley. She loves to cook and shares creative approaches to recipes with her patients at Sparkman Nutrition. Volunteering has been a way of life for many years in different areas including the health care arena as well as the arts. Susan’s specialty areas include: oncology nutrition, diabetes and prediabetes, cardiac nutrition, renal nutrition, eating disorders, mindful/inituitive eating, tube feeding and gastrointestinal disorders.

Lauren Brauer
MS, RDN, LD

Lauren has over 15 years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with both children and adults. Using a weight-neutral, non-diet, client-centered approach, her goal is to help people find a positive, joyful way of eating that supports their overall health and well-being. Lauren has completed advanced training in Ellyn Satter’s Childhood Feeding Dynamics and Eating Competence Models. She particularly enjoys applying Satter-informed care to address child feeding/eating concerns and help adults heal their relationship with food and eating. Lauren has co-authored a book chapter about pediatric nutrition as well as an expert-consensus article about nutrition therapy for children. She has created multiple curricula for nutrition group programs and has been an invited expert speaker for several professional medical and nutrition organizations both in Massachusetts and in Austin. She has served as a preceptor for dozens of students in both the Texas State and University of Texas nutrition programs. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys walking & hiking, dancing, gardening, cooking, and of course eating tasty food with her friends and family. Lauren’s specialty areas include: Childhood nutrition and feeding, eating disorders, Intuitive Eating/Eating Competence, heart health nutrition, prediabetes and IBS.

Kristen Wollmuth
MS, RDN, LD

Kristen completed both her Master’s in Human Nutrition and Food and her dietetic internship at Texas State University. Where she focused on community and worksite wellness. Her professional career started in rural Gonzales, TX seeing patients from 9 months to 109 years old, with all ailments in between. Kristen takes a patient centered approach, by meeting you in whatever life stage you are in and helping clients make small lifestyle changes to reach big goals. Her favorite moments are watching the lightbulb go on when clients realize the world of nutrition does not have to be a complex mystery. Her current passion is cooking classes where she shows you that cooking at home can be rapid, fun, and delicious! Kristen also has experience and expertise in diabetes management, gastrointestinal disorders, weight management, malnutrition, picky eating, motivational interviewing, and general health and wellness counseling. In her personal life, Kristen is an avid rock climber and a passionate dog mom. 

Madeline Thomas
 MS, RDN, LD

I am a registered dietitian with experience in mental health and disordered eating. I’m passionate about helping people heal their relationship with food and body image through a supportive, non-diet approach. My goal is to guide you toward lifelong changes that improve your health and well-being

Kira Alarcon, Social Media Intern

Growing up as a competitive dancer with a passion of cooking. Kira's interest in nutrition sparked at a young age. Now, Kira is pursuing her degree as undergraduate nutrition student at The University of Texas at Austin. She is currently following the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), and was accepted to the Integrated Coordinated Program in Dietetics (ICPD). Her career goal is to become a certified RDN.

Currently, she researches the latest studies in nutrition, writes blog posts, and creates graphics for social media. In her free time, Kira likes to walk around Town Lake, watch movies, and paddle Board.

Caty Davis, Owner

Caty began her journey with Sparkman Nutrition in 2022 as Office Manager, where her love for the practice quickly grew. Her passion for nutrition and case management was deeply influenced by caring for her diabetic father. As the child of someone with chronic health issues, she witnessed firsthand the negative effects that poor nutrition and limited education can have on both physical and mental health.

In June 2024, Caty acquired the practice from founder Alexa Sparkman. Since then, she has been dedicated to making Sparkman Nutrition the go-to resource for all nutritional needs. Over the past year, she has embraced her role as a “dietitian cheerleader,” focusing on creating affordable, accessible care for patients and meaningful partnerships with physicians.

Outside of work, Caty enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeremy, and their baby girl, Fianna.

Alexa Sparkman
Not Accepting Clients


Our founder,Alexa holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. A nationally recognized specialist, Alexa worked more than 45 years as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She formed one of the first nutrition counseling practices in Central Texas and developed the Overcoming Mind Hunger program which focused on treating Binge Eating Disorder.

Now Retired, she no longer sees patients and enjoying her travels. 

Hannah Blockinger, Administrative Assistant 

Hannah is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. As the administrative assistant at Sparkman Nutrition, she brings a warm, organized, and client-centered approach to supporting both our team and the individuals we serve. With a strong passion for nutrition and wellness, Hannah is currently working toward her goal of becoming a registered dietitian. She is excited to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting while helping others along their health journeys.
